Sabine Herrmann was raised in Berlin/East. She studied restoration of paintings at the HfBK Dresden and subsequently painting at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin in the 80s .
In 1991 she continued the study at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts à la Villa Arson in Nice, France. Since then she has been working as an independent artist in Berlin.

Her studies were followed by extended work abroad in Ireland, France, Italy, Japan and the United States. She is a founding member of the international artists project collective task, with it her work was included in the collective task – lectures 2012 at the MoMA in New York.

The artist was able to continuously show the development of her oeuvre in solo exhibitions. Her first solo Museums show was 2016 at the Brandenburgisches Landes Museum für Moderne Kunst.
Works by Sabine Herrmann are part of many public and private collections, such as the Akademie der Künste Berlin, the art collection of Dresdner Bank AG Frankfurt/Main, Brandenburgisches Landes Museum für Moderne Kunst Cottbus, the Märkisches Museum Berlin (Stiftung

Stadtmuseum Berlin), the Landesmuseum Berlinische Galerie.
